Spitzer proposes legislation to legalize gay marriage

This is absolutely the right thing to do. 5, 10, 20 years from now we will all look back and judge our government leaders based on where they stood on this issue.

The press release reads: Governor Eliot Spitzer and Lieutenant Governor David Paterson today submitted legislation to create civil marriage equality for all New Yorkers...A marriage that is otherwise valid under the law will be valid regardless of the sex of the individuals.

If you live in New York, go here to find out who your State representative is, and call them to find out where they stand.

Mike Daisey accosted during performance

On Thursday night 87 audience members walked out on Mike Daisey's performance of Invincible Summer at American Rep Theatre in Boston; one of these people walked onto the stage and poured water all over Mike's only original copy of the show outline. Go here to read Mike's full account of the event and watch the live video. This is one of the most terrible and horrifying things I've ever heard of. If you're in Boston any time soon, go see his show.
