Blog: Stream of Thoughts

Now, people care...

Now that Congress seems destined to pass this interrogation/war crimes act, everyone is finally taking notice: the NYTimes has a strongly worded editorial [link], both Slate [link] and Salon [link] are running cover stories, and Congressional Democrats are finally speaking out [link]. But, tragically, it's too little, too late. This chilling legal analysis from John Mikhail at the Georgetown Law School Faculty blog illustrates some of the most insidious word-smithing of the new bill [link]. Please, at least make yourself aware of how serious this situation is.
